Yeah, I thought Louis was going to at least stick around for most of the season trying to ruin Dexter or something more dramatic than that.

Louis' role seemed to exploit Dexter's more human side getting the best of him in the worst possible way. A stupid coworker feud that results in Dexter's real side being revealed to the wrong people. Its actually quite interesting. SPOILER for those who aren't caught up......





Mike & Louis were introduced to build conflicts/storylines and get killed. On to the next season by season characters

Yeah, I figured Mike wouldn't last long since he didn't have his own storyline on the side. But I kept watching last season's awkwardly paced episodes to see what the deal with Louis would be. When Batista threatened him, he freaked - I thought maybe he was an unstable, emotional guy who panic kills, confides in Dexter, then panic kills again and winds up on the table... something other than a quick bullet after revealing whose boat it was. Weak...

I don't see the point of having a software engineer take that internship, become infatuated by Dexter, date his babysitter, show his high levels of anxiety, just to have him be the guy who spills Dexter's name the next season. And speaking of babysitter... Dexter moved in with Deb, but Harrison didn't?

Ok, gotta stop thinking about it.
