Yet it is Rivera who said from day one, he would be the man when it came to defense. He implied this before he ever began his search for coordinators. So it's really Rivera we should blame, because even as bad as McDermott is (he didn't do too much in Philadelphia), Rivera is obviously calling the shots.

you're implying that McDermott's play-calling has no effect on the look of the defense...

or you're implying that McDermott just pretends to call plays while Rivera communicates with the MLB telepathically...

You learn in mighty might football that one person doesn't cost a "TEAM" a game. You win as a team and also loose as one. It's not your fault or Cam's. I also agree that we should have went for it on 4th and inches really. But his decision to punt was not a very bad one. They pinned them back with a minute left. Atlanta played hard in that little bit of time. It's hard to go that distance in such little time. Hard loss, but lets suck it up and play just as hard next week. This time we get the W!

What I don't get is the whole show blitz, and pull out thing. This isn't effect if you never actually blitz.
