You don't know football if you think Cowher and Fox are the same.

Cowher is far more agressive.

True. But I'd rather go a different route. I dnt think Cowher would want to coach here anyway.

I want a coach with less HC experience. I think Cowher may be finish as a HC. If we want a coach with experience, Wade Philips is the man.

Look what Phillips done with Houston in 1 season.

Rivera is just as good of a DC as Phillips. Rivera took over two shitty defenses and turned them into the number one defense in the NFL for TWO DIFFERENT TEAMS.

Phillips is a shitty HC, his DC success means nothing in regards to his HC ability.

Then Rivera better hurry the hell up and starts calling his own D. Switch to a damn 34 if he has too. Find the personnel to do so in the draft next year.

I'm getting tired by the minute with Rivera. I knows he's a good-great DC but he needs to show it.

No

Until the debacle of 2010 the defense was a perenial top 10 performer. Even in 2010 they were miles ahead of these defenses.

... last reasonable defence we had was in 2005...since then the D's been porous and often choked in big games..

Is Homer Simpson available???

Randy Marsh and his innovative coaching philosophy would be a better option IMO

Little early for this poo...id give this staff till the end of the 2013 season, give them another draft and offseason to infuse talent and fine tune offensive and defensive systems. Unless this season finishes really terribly, like 4 or fewer wins terribly

He is a GREAT defensive coordinator. He is not a great head coach.

Cowher isn't going to coach! Geez get over it. Rivera will not be going anywhere anytime soon so why is this a discussion?

We dont need a new HC, we need better personnel and a new DC.... If Rex Ryan is fired, I would love to have him as a DC.... The man can focus just on DEF, and Chud can run the offense.. And Rivera can just stand there, Like he has no clue, and make sure the Gatorade is full and has enough ice...

Don't know if you are joking. But was thinking him leach or holgerson. Have the score
Points at will. Put in the air raid offense and see how it works in the nfl..

Riveras coaching one of the youngest teams in the league damn near ever. He's doing fine for all realistic expectations. it's these former redskin panther fans that wanna cry about every move like they really know anything about coaching or organizing a football team. We took it hard in the chin from the defending world champs and had an all out dogfight with the falcons. (excuse the pun). But there are still tweleve games to go, and anyone who has watched the nfl for years knows that week six is when teams really show up. Traditionally. So either get behind your team or go back to the redskins.

The issue here is that the Panthers appear to be playing WORSE than they did last season. Considering they had an entire offseason and another draft to prepare I would say thats bad news for the head coach.

Especially with a young team at the very least you expect to see progress.

Have you seen progress over last season? If not, whose fault is that?

Maybe the lock out last season helped us. Less time for Rivera et al. to teach our players stupid poo.
