i bookmarked the open box desktop page and refreshed it every so often until something popped up i liked

the power supplies in cyberpowerpc and ibuypower are trash though, that's why i ordered the corsair 750w to go with it

newegg open box and refurbs are a good way to save money if you're tech savy

you do take the risk of the product arriving DOA, but that's with everything

Yeah, it happens... usually not an issue. I try not to rely on "new" stuff for important project stuff.

That's damn good for the money.

I'm thinking of grabbing a SSD as well. I only wish I could easily move games on and off it quickly and easily.

Once you've played games off of an SSD, you'll never go back to spinning platters.

Load screens all but disappear and games run like what you imagine the developers meant for you to experience.

I play too many games at the same time though. Right now I'm flipping between Dark Souls, Arkham City, Shogun TW, Witcher, Mount and Blade and Skyrim. If I could easily move games around in Steam or only played one game at a time, like when I was playing wow, I would buy one in a heartbeat. I'll most likely get one but I'll just have to think about what I want to put on it.

edit: btw scratch DArk Souls from that. I just requested a refund. Horrible pc port.

i really want an ssd, but i have over 200 gb in games, and i don't play just one

new rig has been up and running like a champ so far

If a big one doesn't fit your budget right now I'd look at a 128 and put your most disk intensive games on it.

At the end of the day though, its your rig and if you are happy with the performance then who am I to say you need more gear? I'm just totally sold on them and at this point wont own a PC without them.

right now, with this setup, i don't seem to have any disk intensive games. everything loads pretty quick. i won't say its instantaneous, but its a lot faster than i'm used to

i'd like to have one sooner or later for games, and maybe a seperate one for OS

you have to have a controller to play that on pc supposedly

there are also a couple mods out that fix the textures and improve the mouse controls
