knowing the kind of crap we get put through, i'm not happy until he puts that state cap on his head. if this is the end of our 2013 recruiting class, then that makes:

PG, Cat Barber, 6'2", 165, 5* [3rd ranked PG]
PF, Kyle Washington, 6'9", 215, 4* [15th ranked PF]
C, BeeJay Anya, 6'9", 275, 4* [2nd ranked C]

recent reports have Kyle Washington as more in the 6'10"+ range, and the kid is still growing. i'm sure most of us know about anya's record breaking wingspan.

that leaves one recruit:

PF, Julius Randle, 6'9", 240, 5* [1st ranked PF]

this kid is a MUST GET. he's a definite one and done, and has a chance to be part of something special. i think we are really lacking depth at the sf and sg positions. hopefully gott can pull some juco/graduate transfer magic at those positions.

Washington is viewed by staff as a wing...stronger Amile Jefferson type.

Don't forget we also have Turner in this glass as well. Anya, Washington,Randle, Turner, Barber is a starting lineup basically.

where did you hear/read that? his game is picture-perfect power forward á la tim duncan. he's mobile enough to run the high post, and has a decent shot out to 15-17, but in no way is he a small forward, slasher type.

i didn't forget about turner, but i guess it makes sense to make him part of this "recruiting class." idk about him being part of the starting line up. lsu fans weren't too high on him. i could see barber playing behind tyler, too.

if we get everyone we want, i.e., anya and randle, then our line up would be:

g- lewis/barber
g- purvis/turner
f- warren/randle
f- randle/washington/tdt
c- anya/vandy

Don't remember but basically heard they view him as a guy with a TJW type skillset. Probably more of a 4 than a 3 but could see time at both positions. Especially if we land Anya and Randle. Those two are pure bull in a china shop type big men.

a new offer has been put out to cliff alexander. he's rated the number 6 prospect [number 2 center] in 2014. we have now offered the top 2 centers in the 2014 class [the other being jahlil okafor [no. 2 overall; no. 1 center]. alexander is 6'9", 240, while okafor is 6'10", 280.

Randle is next...

If we continue to impress with our play and this team can deliver big things this year then I really like our chances of landing J Randle (as long as Purvis is on the team, which I anticipate).

If Purvis and Warren aren't on the team then, well...it probably means that we had at the very least an ACC Championship and a Final Four run this year...so I guess I couldn't complain at that point.

we are impressing so far this year. need to hit some free throws, and we could have gone over 100 in two games so far this year. one of those being against a good umass team. need to work on that.

but i really think we are in randle's top 2.
