Right, and that's my problem with it. I know we haven't been a playoff team for three seasons, but it the basic story behind it was: Jake's career hit a wall, rookie QB (Clausen), rookie QB (Newton). It's not exactly a tragic and hopeless story being that we have probably found our franchise guy after an 8-8 year and two losing seasons.

We agree. You need to go start a thread about the recent unemployment numbers. It's one data point!

Oh yeah. This season has been so much better to watch than 2 years ago. That was a miserable low. We have lots of hope.

Our last winning season was 2008. Here's a list of teams that have gone longer without a winning season.

But whatever man. Each of those teams scrapped their way to a 3-2 record at some point in the last 3 years so we're the worst thing ever.

I'm a bad Panther fan. I object to our Al Davis like commitment to excellence. By excellence he meant drafting poorly and hiring average coaches to ensure you don't field winning teams.

Luke is young but for a top 10 pick he has been underwhelming. Beason has been hampered by a shoulder injury also not the injury you said he never would recover from. The first round pick would have been better spent on a CB or DL and it has shown.

Well, he has been underwhelming bc Beason and Anderson are playing the pass downs....which has always been his bread and butter. So that is a team limiting his opportunity rather than the player being a letdown this far.

Luke has never been a pass rusher I think and we certainly aren't playing him as one.

I think his job is "Find the ball and make a tackle" on every play.

He strength is pass downs....and we certainly haven't been letting him playing him in it

We often are pulling him off the field after good plays he makes forcing 3rd down pass scenario
