So both Luck and Griffin will have better rookie seasons than Newton?
Who cares about rookie seasons???
Luck is only hitting 54.2% of his throws for a QB rating of 77.1. Newton, even with his bad year to date is 58.8% percent/80.9 rating. Rookie season he was 60% percent/84.5.
The stat says that a certain amount of pass attempts is not completed. It DOESN'T tell you whether it's Luck's fault or not.
Luck does not have a better o-line or a feared running play. He has only got Wayne.
Griffin has been better to date (69.1%/101 rating) but is already getting concussions from trying to scramble/run because he's tiny. You can already tell he won't be able to have the type of rush game Newton will because he'll break in half at some point.
Who cares about QB-rush??? Do you really wanna tell me that a Brady, Brees or Manning (pick one) relies on scrambles that much?
Furthermore, you can't tell anything about how injury-prone a player is 'til he had several injuries of the same type...
Newton had a bad game. It happens. We're running a poo offense. Newton has run a pro set with very good results before (rookie season). I think that has something to do with the regression. Either way, wanting to bench/trade/sit him goes beyond idiotic into "mild retardation" territory.
Nobody cares about the rookie season at all. And we arent talking about ONE crappy game...I count three already.
It's funny how many of the "BUSSSTTTTTTTTTTTT" 2011 draft assholes/pissed off Bama/Gamecock homers are resurfacing lately.
Whoever you are referring to...
