Can Cam read pro style defenses? What's up with all the college read options crap that stuff is not going to work! :o

yeah he can run a pro offense. he did last season early on and looked great doing it.

also way to post the exact same thing in several different threads.

Jumping on Cam is just the easy out.....

Yeah, he has fuged up a lot.....but the coaches are a bigger issue. You don't start with the small problems....you start with the big ones. One play doesn't win or lose a game.....Chud and Rivera lose games though.

Have to hit a wide open receiver when the game is on the line. Sorry.

I put most of it during game time on Chud. We know how I feel about JR and Hurney. I mean, look at Vick. He is similar to Cam in many ways. he has Lesean McCoy and the Eagles use him a lot. We have BIG money invested in two backs and we barely run anything through them other than draws, check down passes, and screens. It's pretty crazy.

We down even do those things...maybe 1 or 2 passes that they drop.

All of those are definitely problems, but 1 hopping a pass your wide open TE on 4th and 1 is about as anti clutch as you can be.

yeah, wasn't like he was on the run and had to dodge a couple defenders or anything. he just stood there and missed him. Not an excuse, but the history revisers are on a roll tonight.

the RB's were absolute trash today with the drop screens and fumbles. You can tell this team has poor leadership when this is how we play after a letdown. Hell we play like crap even after we win a game a week before. A bipolar team led by a stonefaced coach who can't swing the teams emotions in one direction or another when it needs to is not working so far.

One read and run college option QB is all I'm seeing from him! And last year they were always playing from behind were they had to pass and teams were mostly playing zone prevent! Maybe they should put Edwards at QB might get better results!!!!!!! ;)

It wasn't like DWill had a man on him already when he fumbled, or that Smith was in traffic when he dropped a pass. Or that Stewart was hit by two people when he fumbled.

Pros are supposed to be pros and those are the plays they are expected to make.

That play is pitch and catch for most teams, we've been burned by the Saints and the Falcons on that very same play plenty of times.
Cam isn't in the same league as Brees an Ryan is that what you are saying?

Or should we call some more college plays and bring in pro QBs for the pro style plays?

not claiming he shouldn't....

Issue is Cam hitting that TE doesn't solve the huge issues with this team. They start with the coaches.....not Cam.

You don't see a problem with going to Brockel on 4th 1 vs......instead of running our expensive backfield or Cam just diving over the pile? Chud is an idiot.

35 pass attempts/game through the first half of 2011. that's hardly "one read and run" and you, of course, actually know that but you're a troll. one read and run is the offense armanti edwards ran in college by the way.

your gimmick was never funny or interesting. get a new one. maybe start calling for us to bench stewart and start armond smith.

No need for 76 posts trying to pin blame on a 23 yr old kid still learning the toughest position in all of sports when it is glaring what the problem is.....

Chud, Rivera and Marty.....that is the reason we see such slop.

is it Cams's fault Double Trouble had a combined 23 rushings yards (26 if we add Tolbert)? No

Is it Double Trouble's fault? No.

Is it the OLs fault they are asked to pass protect almost every down for a quirky offense that put the world on Cams's shoulders? No.

Issue is painfully obvious....the coaches and GM are doing 2 different things. The real problem is.....both have painfully flawed plans so it isn't as if getting on the same page would make us great right now.

We don't need to give Rivera more time. Move on after this year. He isn't a HC. Chud is a bad match for Cam. Doesn't gameplan to help a young QB grow and play to his strengths.....he focus' on simply highlighting him every snap which is the recipe for ruining a young QB. I have always endorsed building an offense around #1.....but that doesn't mean he should be the offense. That doesn't work and is lazy and above all.....dumb.

And Steve Smith is a hypocritical prick.....and I said it when he lashed out through the media weeks ago. 89 is as immature as it gets. Doesn't matter if he can say the right things when he cools off away from football.....in a football environment he is immature.

I wish there was a virtual, non-gay blowjob pie for this post.

Actually, no I don't... Regular pie will do, lol.

Awesome post, couldn't agree more. It's what I've been saying to everyone as well, but people get these ideas and refuse to let them go. Perception.

Totally agree, there's too much talent on this offense to perform the way that they do.

Part of the issues has to be on Cam. No need to bring up his age when he did pretty darn well last year, a year younger and less experienced. Is he the only issue? No, but he doesn't get a pass.

He was wildly inaccurate today. He never seems to hit those short dump off passes/screens with any accuracy. Our RBs always have to catch them off balance or not at all. He targeted Smith way too much and didn't hit our leading receiver until late.

I don't think it's physical but more mental for Cam. He has all the tools in the world but his mind doesn't seem to be right. With all of this coming out about him being a sore loser, it makes sense. He might feel like he is responsible for our lousy performances and it's taking a toll. I will say he needs to "grow up" a bit and be able to handle his emotions better. It's great that he hates to lose but he can't let his emotions affect his play.

I have said that Hurney needs to go. He is the root of our problem.
