I can already hear the Hurney apologists circa 2013, after another losing season for the Carolina Panthers:

"Hurney is a cap genius and never misses on the first round. Don't forget 2012 doesn't count any more than 2010. Kalil was hurt, you can't reasonably expect us to win with our center injured."

Maybe with a backup center they'll run less complicated offensive plays now?

@billvoth

With Kalil out for season, initial plan now is to move Hangartner to center. Byers will also get a look.

God help us all

Joe Person@josephperson

Rivera says G Geoff Hangartner will move to center, where he has starting experience. Jeff Byers and Garry Williams will compete for G spot.
