(Unless one of bye week's players recovers a Cam fumble and returns it all the way for a game-winning TD. But I'm holding out hope that this will not happen.)

For the team, for me... for everyone. The team could obviously use the week off, but this is also a good thing for me. Honestly, I would not be prepared for yet another emotional letdown on Sunday. Because of the bye week, I'll sleep in, watch RedZone when I wake up (if the Panthers aren't playing, this is THE way to watch games on Sundays... so happy Time Warner has it now!), and have zero stress on that day. I can sit back and enjoy the games without having to worry about my beloved Panthers crushing my heart once again. Pete (SuperMan) and anyone else here that has seen me at Ale House can attest to how much I love the Panthers and how much I get into the games. As bad as it sounds... for the first time ever, I'm happy and relieved to see a bye week. I don't know if we'll come out of it any better... but at least for one Sunday afternoon, my heart will not be broken.Unless one of bye week's players recovers a Cam fumble and returns it all the way for a game-winning TD. But I'm holding out hope that this will not happen.)
its still emotional for you?

5th thread on this topic, I know we can get 6... I just know it
I haven't been on here too much this week, so I wasn't aware that there were several threads on this. But that's kind of a moot point because this thread was more about me than the team. Surely there's some of you that also needed a break from the usual heartbreak the Panthers give us.I had considered posting a new topic with a dissenting opinion just to see if I can spark MORE new threads on this same thing.

Then I open the observer today and one of the writers is all "at least we can't lose this week derp."
And then i realized we are getting this every year though.
And i'm with you. It will be nice to have a break. Losing at home gets deflating.
