No, I'm tired of the "fans" who constantly complain about players until they have break out performances and proclaim that they're the best in the League. Pick a fuggin side and stay on it. All this on the fence BS is beyond old

Of all the problems on this team, people focus on Smith.

Amazing.

If you think the Panthers have problems know because he has an occasional non-perfect moment, wait until he does retire and Hurney STILL hasn't found his replace 12 years later.

Meh...

We won games in 2008 and 2009 without him.....that was with bad D and below average QB play.

It isn't 2005 anymore. He isn't the offense. Sure it will hurt but Newton is now the most irreplaceable Panther.....no longer is it Smitty.

i agree with this post.last week he was far more caught up in wrestling and jawing with the DB but when a ball went his way several times he just flat out dropped it.same with cam if he would worry more about completing a pass to a wide open te last week instead of doing his celebrations we would be better off.

Tired of Smitty?
This is the worst joke ever.
The day everyone in this team will be playing each game with the same passion this team will be unstoppable.

I know this probably wont go over well but I am starting to get a little tired of Smitty. He acts like a 5 year old that throws temper tantrums and is off his meds. It seems like every game he is starting a fight and is always wrestling on the ground with a opposing DB. Then you have the fiasco of him calling out Cam publicly after the Giants game. I know this part isnt entirely his fault but here we are heading imto game 6 and he doesnt have a single TD yet, not one! I am actually shocked he hasnt been flagged once yet for unsportsman like conduct with all the fights he starts. He might be a proven vet and I can accept him being just a little scrappy but lately it seems like he cares more about starting a fight.

Was looking a pic for my tablet back ground and I found this gem.

Kinda ironic now.

ICE UP OP! ICE UP.

If everyone was like Smitty we would go 1-15. Penalties would kill us....

Also, teams would love for all offensive players to get taken out of the actual games for chunks bc they were so concerned with trying to show someone up

He is the number 5 "Steve" in the NFL of all time. Do not underestimate the Steve and the energy those tantrums bring to the team.

Since this thread came back up, it's pretty neat to see the team winning without Steve being dominant. He has real help around him.

Now, to salvage this terrible bump, I'd like to give a shout out to Brandon LaFell: I was rewatching the Pats game and he was constantly getting grabbed and held because he was torching anyone lined up on him all game. It wasn't even speed, it was just great route running and faking out jams. He's really developing well.
