Would Mike Holmgren be an upgrade from Ron Rivera?

Why you say that? He's been pretty accomplished as head coach.

old.

from another era.

his eyes are already on the door.

no people on the back side of their career, please.

YES, honestly it would be. Not to mention the fact that he is notoriously friendly with his QB! (Brett Favre)

Might allow Cam to actually make checks and call audibles!

Honestly I think he recused himself of being a GM because he wants to be a HC again. Kind of a conflict of interest if in his heart, he's already checked out as a GM. Would be Shocked if he's not on somebody's sideline next year

I want to see Chico given more than just cursory opportunity.

I don't know, but the infographic in this article on Holmgren leaving made me pretty depressed: http://espn.go.com/nfl/story/_/id/8511711/mike-holmgren-retire-cleveland-browns-sale-official.

The only team with a worse record since 2010 than the BROWNS? Yep, you guessed it. The Panthers.

Would the west coast offense fit Cam?

People probably said the same thing about Coughlin.

The age and old school philosophy doesn't bother me. I just don't like Reid's coaching style. He's not a good fit here in Carolina. I don't see him as inspiring enough to bring out the best in our young team. Let him go to the Chiefs...anywhere but here.

Cleveland was his last stop. He has the money. He has the Super Bowl rings. He was god awful in Cleveland. No. No no no.

Holmgren is done. And even if he wasn't his best years are well behind him.
