The owner told the OC not to talk to the star WR

that's ridiculous.

Sounds more like 'inmates running the asylum' than 'hands on owner'.

Or some combination of the two where the owner empowers the players to run the show?

I see it as a perfect example of the idea that he is loyal to a fault in regards to his "guys".

um OCs aren't supposed to get in shouting matches with their WRs.

The OC, as part of management, is supposed to be the cooler head and a peacemaker. A leader.

I would have told him the same thing.

As a PSL holder, I don't know what to hope for anymore other than not misery on Sunday and it seems like the only way I can avoid that is to sell.

4 out of 17, well, what more is there to say.

Roskinki's words about the long standing fans 'what are you paying for' are questions I ask myself many times as do the people around me. It goes beyond the money though when a person irrationally loves a sports team enough to put out hard earned money to watch a mediocre product every week.

exactly, Davidson probably disrespected Steve. Steve does sell tickets and was the face of the franchise. To a point, you keep him happy.

Yeah, but I'm not really sure what to walk away with from this story...

So JR is extremely pro-player to the point of detriment? Sure, this story would be an extreme example, but we already know he has genuine relationships with his players - except Jim Harbaugh, lol.

He looks out for his guys, he pays them well, he invites them to his home, etc.

There is also evidence that he is an extremely shrewd business man, as evidenced by the NFL lockout, rumors of the ref lockout, etc.

But, I just don't get what this has to do with anything? Jeff Davidson sucks. There was plenty of reason for him to be fired.

UNLESS, Rozinski is suggesting that Davidson was disposable because anyone could come in and do what JR wanted done on offense, but I don't get that from this story.

Which is what Hurney has been.

My theory has been that Richardson values personal relationships more so than performance.
