Unless our new HC/DC plans on switching us to a 3-4 I really don't see (or hope) us drafting Jarvis Jones or either of the LSU "DE"s...

My big five for the 1st round, in order, are:
Lotulelei
Hankins
Hunter/Allen, whichever looks better at the end of the year
Elite LT if one's available
Elite CB if one's available

Considering we're looking at a top 5 pick at the moment I would suggest trading back to the teens and getting Kawann Short. I think he is the best for 4-3 defensive tackle in the draft assuming the new coach say goes that way. He is the best user of his hands to disengage from blocks I have seen in years.

Short is probably the best rushing DT and I see him as this year Fletcher Cox, but I wouldnt draft him as a top 15. I got Star, Hankins, and Jenkins all ahead of him. If we wanna go a diff route in the first (WR/FS), we can look for a Sheldon Richardson in the 2nd.

We need a replacement for Ron who is our NT who is aging and may possibly be out after this season. Star/Hankins/Jenkins will fill that NT role. Why take Cox and play him beside Dwan? WHo will be the run stuffer now? Short will def help CJ, Hardy and Alexander, but wouldnt help Luke a bit.

15 even 20 pick. I like Allen and Hunter more.

If it were possible i would draft Clowney over anyone in this years draft. I think right now he's the best player in college football.


Also i love Te`o. He's the best middle linebacker i've seen since Urlacher.

Yea I love Kuechly but I think Te'o is a slight better than him. At better athlete and playmaker that is.

I'd love to take ND's TE, though I don't think it's really a need. He's just big, fast, athletic, goes up for the ball, has good hands, runs crisp routes and can block well enough.

If we took Te'o we'd have a beast 34, the Edwards' at NT on rotation, CJ and Hardy at DE, use Alexander as your rush LB on rotation with the other guys and let TD loose to got hit the QB.

Clowney is a freak, no denying that but with the emergence of Hardy and what we've seen from Alexander I'd have a hard time taking another DE.

Star is probably my favorite right now, but I still REALLY want a true FS and another legit playmaking WR.

If we could draft anyone from the 2014 draft in 2013 I would want our newly appointed GM fired immediately if they didn't take Marqise Lee. While Clowney is a GREAT player, defensive end has become a strength on this team. WR however is not, and Marqise Lee has superstar ability at the position....
