Fort Worth, Texas (CNN) -- An internet troll reviled for his pornographic posts on Reddit and recently revealed as a middle-aged software programmer told CNN that he made "a huge mistake."
For years, 49-year-old Michael Brutsch hid behind the online screen name "Violentacrez," creating hundreds of subforums on the user-generated website, such as "Rapebait," "Incest," "Pics of Dead Kids," "Choke a Bitch," and "Rape Jokes." "Violentacrez" has been banned from the site several times, although Brutsch still maintains a separate account.

"And as I'd find porn of different types, like if it was a picture of an African-American woman, I created a Reddit called 'Women of Color,'" Brutsch said. "If it was, you know, a woman with large breasts, I created a Reddit called 'Boobies.'"
are we sure this dude doesn't post here because this sounds awfully familiar
Years ago, Brutsch created his most infamous Reddit forum called "Jailbait" -- images of teenage girls posted without their or their families' consent. He said it became so popular, drawing hundreds of thousands of page views, that Reddit gave him an award -- a gold-plated bobblehead doll "for making significant contributions to the site."
fyi jailbait was one of the most visited subreddits on reddit. it was the first result on google if you searched for "reddit." it was deleted after AC's first story, and now instead of having one giant subreddit for their creepy as all hell jailbait poo, they keep it on the low-low

also reddit gave him a physical award for being such a good pedophile i guess
Reddit also said it banned Brutsch's "Violentacrez" account several times since last year, adding that it "regret(s) not taking stronger action sooner."
this isn't actually true. he was never banned.
CNN legal contributor Sunny Hostin said she believes the website is hosting "borderline kiddie porn." CNN Senior Legal Analyst Jeffrey Toobin noted that while the website may not be breaking any criminal laws, its claim that it cannot interfere with its posters because they are protected by the First Amendment is "not true."
reddit admins shelter pedophi-um, excuse me, "ephebophiles"
Brutsch has not been charged with a crime. He was, however, questioned by police because of assertions that he had sex with his stepdaughter. He said it's not true.
yep sounds about right

this wouldn't really be news except for the fact that reddit is hugely popular (the president of the united states and several presidential and congressional candidates have fielded questions on reddit), their moderators protect this poo as "free speech," and now anderson cooper has done two separate segments on reddit's creepy jailbait stuff. alexa.com ranks reddit.com as the 66th most visited website in the country

the video interview is really interesting. this guy goes to great lengths to prove that he's not a creepy fug for posting "jailbait" pictures and making rape jokes.

heh speaking of which here's an interesting little article which attempts to explain what sexual objectification is to those who don't seem to get it
Sexual objectification is the viewing of people solely as de-personalised objects of desire instead of as individuals with complex personalities and desires/plans of their own. This is done by speaking/thinking of women especially as only their bodies, either the whole body, or as fetishised body parts.
Sexual attraction is not the same as sexual objectification: objectification only occurs when the individuality of the desired person is not acknowledged. Pornography, prostitution, sexual harassment and the representation of women in mass media and art are all examples of common sexual objectification.
The concept of objectification owes much to the work of Simone de Beauvoir regarding the basic dualism of human consciousness between the Self and the Other: the general mental process where humans classify the world into ‘us’ and ‘them’. Women are universally viewed as the Other across all cultures, a role which is both externally imposed and internalised, and which means that women are generally not truly regarded as fully human. An important point of de Beauvoir’s was that this Othering effect is the same whether women are viewed as wholly inferior or if femininity is viewed as mysterious and morally superior: Otherness and full equality cannot coexist.

http://finallyfemini...bjectification/

the objectification (primarily the fetishization of body parts) that goes on throughout the huddle (particularly within the lovely ladies section, as well as like 50% of avatars) is a problem because
1) objectification is bad
2) it fosters a culture that is off-putting to both women and men who aren't interested in coming to a football forum and seeing "lol boobies here look at my avatar it has boobies in it i liek tities" all over the fuging place

Was he posting pictures of 18 year olds or 15 year olds.

If there was actual kiddie porn I think the feds would have been all over it. I'm guessing it was more boderline stuff but I have no idea.

Dude got fired from his job though.

The one that got the attention for this latest drama was a subreddit where he and others posted "candid" photos they took of children out in public or at their school desks. A teacher also got fired for it.
