State fans...we're excited for a few reasons.

1) Some of us do see the rivalry between the schools, it just doesn't match up to the Duke rivalry in any of the sports, and never will.

2) This snaps the losing streak to you guys

3) This was our bowl game this season. This was a statement game for reasons #1 and #2 above.


This is a rivalry. It just isn't OUR biggest rivalry because we have Duke as that big rivalry.

I'd say State is our biggest rival in football, thanks to the last 5 years. But, Duke is our biggest rival in bball. All things considered, both teams are our rivals, just viewed with more weight individually depending on the sport. BUT, there is always that element of rivalry no matter what sport we're playing in, whether it's Dook or State.

The UNC/Dook rivalry is so steeped in tradition that it's hard to just "replace" them as our biggest rival... That being said, things will probably start drawing much closer between the three, now that Gottfried has gotten things going in basketball for you guys.

Was in at the front of the student section. Holy sh*t. I almost passed out after the TD. And then the 2 point and fumble recovery for the cherry on top. I have never been happier in my life than at that moment in time.

Gio... Holy sh*t. Like you have no idea how crazy that was, student section went beyond mad after the win, louder than anything I've ever heard and the best feeling ever.

Now, recovery before the parties tonight. GO HEELS.
