i don't think hurney is responsible for chud being the worst playcaller in the NFL. indirectly, maybe.

Much as Hurney sucks, you are also right about this...

Hurney is going to fire himself but keep coming to work anyway because he doesn't have a contract to begin with.

Formula for success lol.

So why doesn't he quit. If he's responsible for this continuing mediocrity(not just this season) step down, since clearly he's just making thing worse.

George Seifert had the highest win percentage in history after his 49ers stint and had two super bowls.

and much like Cam, threw Weinke in (under different rules that exist, even now in the past couple of years, in favor to the offense), as rookies. both bad decisions that where allowed (or made by the GM).

JR can keep Hurney as a cap bean counter, just get someone that knows how to build a program and who to give out contracts to

Anyone ever stop to think that maybe if he isn't getting paid, that actually hurts this team?

and to stay on the subject, Weinke struggled and cam (use to winning) is not hadling loss, well. Both should have sat at least a year behind vets...

Hurney has been terrible at managing the cap. We're one of the worst teams in the league yet we have the least amount of cap space for the next 3 years. We'll be about 10 million over the cap heading into 2013.

I just don't know how the coaches could be so ignorant and waste the talent we have. Chud has forced his shittyass play calling down our throats and its not working. Why not try to utilize the tools you have in a more effective way?
