If I'm JR I'm firing Rivera and letting Chud have a lame duck season. Rivera isn't getting it done and Chud actually showed he could be a decent coach...albeit last year.

That is one of the worst things we could do unless we want to intentionally tank the season. The biggest thing holding this team back is our offensive strategy. If you promote him he will still have full control of the offense and if Rivera has any positive impact our defense then our d would be even worse.

I would love to fire chud tomorrow and let Shula or whoever the most ready guy is take over the offensive scheme and play calling.

we're almost to the point of needing to win out to get into the playoffs... 10 wins might not even be enough

thoughts on the quote: hes unhappy with the shitty playcalling and/or coaching staff in general

LMFAO your still thinking playoffs? PLAYOFFS? Come on dude really? I need you to do better ok lol

He knows he's here for a few years and he knows he's the starting QB.

I love the fact he's going against the JR mandate of toeing the line and not saying anything negative outside the locker room. I think more of the guys should speak their piece and let it be known they're not happy.

How do players who want to win and want to be part of an organization committed to winning sit idly by and tolerate the crap that Jerry Richardson and Marty Hurney have put on the field? How do they tolerate being laughed at while running a college offense? How do they tolerate a coaching staff that seems content with mediocrity?

Great post, I couldn't agree more.

Rivera need to not wait until he's fired to do the same thing. It would be nice if he came out and made a "I don't go shopping for the groceries, I only cook them" comment.

JR will not fire a coach during a season. He is old and set in his ways. Cam may have to lead a revolution.

"...tanking the season...?"

Oh, you mean like Jerry Richardson orchestrated during the lockout season?

The quote was directed toward Chud. Chud is the problem if he doesn't see his offense is ineffective he is either blind, crazy or stubborn. I feel he is stubborn and he is putting his pride before the team. So he should be let go as early as tomorrow and let Shula call the offense for the remainder of the season. This will light a fire under everyone. The remainder of the coaching staff will know that J.R. means business and although this season will be a wash it will give players some hope for the future.

RR knows he's toast if things stay the way they are, so he might as well get crazy and shake things up. It's not like he'll get fired twice.
