The decisions that a GM makes take the longest to fix and a new GM will need years to have his philosophy installed. So glad we didn't wait any longer.

So this will obviously have no effect on this season except for how coaches and players feel

New coaches can potentially right a ship immediately

I don't think there is any question now that the staff is gone. A new GM will not take the position without the ability to find guys that fit their wishes. Rivera, McDermott, Chud....all as good as gone....

It's a lot like a political change from one party to the next. A small amount of time is spent changing what the first guy installed. The next bit is about installing your own plans/ideas.

The salary cap complicates things.
