I have a gut feeling that someone with loads of experience is going to be brought in to help with Cam's maturation. You just don't get atheletic ability like Cam has everyday (or draft). I'm sure JR, with all his faults knows we need someone in here that will help Cam live up to his potential.I just hope nothing happens that mortgages anything more next year. Not having a 3rd is all I can take.
Sh*t feels very weird right now and I wish he could be more direct given the situation. He admitted he can't pinpoint the issues other than not taking opportunities. This is the mindset that has directly spilled over into Cam and I DO NOT want to ruin the kid. He has too much potential to ruin with such sh*tty coaching and professional direction.

Good point Zod, but who was his QB?Tony Dungy fired Shula as OC because his offense never ranked better than 22nd.
Huge difference, imo.

Chud is killing us.

He had a #1 draft choice he ruined who later went on to win a Superbowl.
I just view it as, if the whole staff is on a one-year mindset, give Shula the chance. Chud has proven to be stubborn and inept, just as he did in year two in Cleveland. There is a reason he wasn't an OC again until we hired him. With the absurdity of what he's doing right now, I don't see Shula making it any worse, and I think because he interacts more with Cam and listens to feedback, he may be a better option to get things going offensively.

on the bright side the defense has been playing much better.
They've played better. BUT we've had the lead in the fourth qtr in all but one game. And it seems that when we need a defensive stop to seal the W the defense gives it away.

Who knows? What if it works and we pull off 7-8 wins to finish out the year. It wasn't so long ago that people where saying fire Riveria and make Chud the head coach to keep from losing him.
I'm not giving up on Rivera yet as the defense has improved and I don't see him enough of a hand on offense and let's Chud handle that (to a fault as we've seen now). He'll either rain Chud in or replace him.

They are usually on the field the entire 4th quarter. Normally when we get the lead, we will do a couple of Read options, A cam sack, punt.
