They are usually on the field the entire 4th quarter. Normally when we get the lead, we will do a couple of Read options, A cam sack, punt.
Doesn't change the fact that when they HAVE TO make a stop, they're not capable. We've given up the lead in all those games with around 5 min to go.

What the hell do you expect? We're almost dead last in TOP in the NFL. You can't have players out on the field constantly & expect them to not be tired, haven't you ever played?

No different than our offense having the ball with a few minutes left and needing one FG/TD or even to run out the game....and not delivering either.
We have been in this situation numerous times over the past two seasons....and the offense has failed to deliver even once.
Neither side of the ball have been clutch performers.

They've played better. BUT we've had the lead in the fourth qtr in all but one game. And it seems that when we need a defensive stop to seal the W the defense gives it away.
they held Dallas to one TD and 4 field goals....what the defense needs is for the offense to avg more than 18 points a game.

There wasn't a huge difference in TOP against Dallas. Or ATL. The other games yes...

This is true. Both sides need to come together. That's why its a team sport. Just don't think the. O should take all the blame.

I agree that the D has been much improved, but its still a fact that when we need them to stop Dallas they didn't... they drove down the field and got the FG.

This is why Richardson has no business owning an NFL team....cheap ass is going to leave the poo storm to a guy who can't even coach just so he can fire his ass in December....Happy Day.RIvera just said that all personnel decisions will be up to him at this point.

1. saying we are 'vertical' when we don't have the players to be 'vertical'.
2. no involvement on the sidelines with Newton, at all, none, zero zip. That pass intercepted in the end zone, Newton should
have been called over and addressed by Rivera right then 'what were you thinking' would have been a great start.
3. He is the head coach, if he does not like the scheme that Chud is using, tell him, 'stop running 3 receiver sets against
that defense.
4. start running the ball with heavy sets.
5. finally, trying to make the Panthers Chargers East, honest to god, have the Chargers ever done anything?...seriously.
The list is long; but, for him to say it's possible an 'assistant may go'. Please. Who hired the assistant.

IMO, there is this level of complacency with this team that has got to stop.
