Cam Newton needs real competition.

And he has been....and he's getting two years to be the unquestioned guy. But let's say the Panthers don't win another game.....or finish 3-13.....you don't seriously think about bringing in a guy to compete? Not replace...not cut CN.......compete with him at the very least?

In my opinion no... You do the Same as the Rams are doing with Bradford... you give him more time and focus on improving the other positions on the team.

Bradford has not gone to the playoffs... Also after his rookie MVP year he followed it up going 1-9 the following year, yet they did not take a QB in the draft this year and are still working with him. You have to give your young QB time to develop before calling it quits or using your limited resources to bring in competition to add more question marks at the position.

I understand those wanting to have competition at the QB position because Cam may not be having the season we all expected, but I personally 100% disagree with the idea.

Cam beat his team back in college. He has had trouble winning in the pros. It only makes sense to bring in "Competition". Doesn't it?

Plenty of young QBs don't go to the playoffs. How many of those teams redraft a QB to bring in competition?

A franchise QB does not guarantee playoffs. You still need a team around him. Wasting precious resources on "Competition" for your Franchise QB is counterproductive. Simple and Plain.

If and when your Franchise QB flames out. That is the only time you go back to the drawing board.

You use those resources to build your Franchise QB a competent team. Not for another QB because a few fans think he needs "Competition". That is just too silly to be this many pages.

Nice try. It is one thing to cherry-pick stats to make a point. But making things up is just not going to get er done.

Give it up dude. Your "Competition" spiel is not going to fly.

Cam's numbers are comparable to last years. Even with the implosion of this O.

Ah hell, nvm. Carry on.

Yep you guys are right on that. Got the Rams mixed up with the Seahawks a couple of years ago. The last game of their season decided if they went to the playoffs or not. No one is perfect.

Ya, they went to the playoffs with a 7-9 record.

As to no one being perfect. You obviously have not met the wife.

Hey listen. I feel your pain with Cam as it comes to this season. Expectations were through the roof. When expectations are not met. Folks fap. Some go all in and start hating. Players, coaches, FO, anything. It is how you complain that sets you apart.

Me personally? I see a bright future. When the stench of mediocrity is finally washed away. This team is going to be special. Cam included.

The Seahawks made it that year with a 7-9 record. The Rams were right behind.

You keep using that word incorrectly. I'm pretty sure it doesn't mean what you think it does.
