Not sure that he is our best player. Right now that goes to kuechly.

Truth. How about player with most "potential" ?

I just don't understand how so many people think that competition is a bad thing.

Unless he blows out a knee, yes he is.

Some of the draft boards I was looking at had him in the second round. You could be right. Either way Nassib looks good too.

Yea I'm letting it go my point was he wasn't just handed the job. Jimmy started out getting the first team reps. Say what you want but Jimmy was given a chance to win that job. Of course he wasn't going to win it because he doesn't have Cam's talent but they gave him a shot.

competition is a fantastic thing. i'd be all about our new coaching staff bringing in a veteran and declaring an open competition between him and cam.

blowing a second rounder on a quarterback in a draft when we're entering light on picks (we have no third) = no thanks

man he looks so dumb.

the only way it'd be worse is if he was posting about blowing a second or third round pick on a quarterback as "competition" for a job said rookie would never win.

If Cam keeps playing like this through the end of the season.....said rookie probably wins it.
If Cam all of sudden plays like he's supposedly capable of and exhibits good leadership then you rethink the approach.

Cam might be the only reason a potential great GM signs here

That's what'd you want ideally and I would agree is a free agent. But the list of FA qbs next year looks a little pooty to say the least. It looks like drafting one may be the only way to bring in a legitimate competitor.

Even if it's a guy in the 4th round that falls. If Jones fall take him. If you can get Nassib in the 4th you jump all over it.

I love Newton yet I laugh at the above YouTube video all day long and the horse poo party that supports Obama. Fail.

Wait, how many First Round QBs actually have to fight for their spot?

How many 1st round picks have to fight for their spots after the years they were drafted?

Cam Newton equals Akili Smith.....yeah I busted that out.

lol....

Cam just needs a team and coaching staff around him. Nothing more. Carolina has implemented the textbook blueprint for what you don't do to a young QB.

Cam surprisingly has had us in almost every game of his career despite it.

We have scored 14 points or less in 4 of 6 games this year. The defense has had us in the game...Cam and the offense have not gotten it done.

You are severely retarded if you thing that Clausen was EVER in the running to start last year. Not that he should have been (he shouldn't). But this was Cam's job the day they drafted him.

What is this offense you speak of.

You mean a scheme where we execute a gameplan to our players strengths? Yeah.. we don't do that here.
