Good God. Cam has sucked this year and you know it. I haven't given up on the guy, he's too talented but just stop it with the racial crap already, he's played like poo.

I disagree. Why is Cam the leading rusher on the team? My God, if he sucks, then what does that say about everyone else?

What about that screams that he should be unquestioned to regress and that last season was not an outliner? And more specifically what about that screams that he should be unquestioned as compared to Newton? The guy was bad his first season...injuried his second after 3 games...goes off his third season...

Nobody was talking about figuring out Stafford. Everyone just assumed that he was 10 top and that Newton would struggle when teams "figure him out."

You see the same with Luck and RGIII. Will teams figure out Luck? Study his tendencies? Or are we to assume that if Luck fails its on his team and organization?

People just make these assumptions when it comes to the QB position. People just assumed that Kevin Kolb would be great. Why? People assume that Locker and Gabbert are great...just don't have the teams to compete.

However, when it comes to Newton its...well Newton is the problem...when it comes to Stafford the assumption is "well...I mean he plays for Detroit, I know he is legit."

WTF are you talking about? The whole 2 hour lead up to MNF was about Stafford playing like crap. And he is. And we notice. Good f*cking grief.

He hasn't necessarily progressed from last year, but he hasn't regressed either and the OC is working against him. There is no reason for people to be dogging him like they have, especially when most of it isn't even about his play. Race plays a role in it no matter how much you may try to tell yourself it doesn't.

Cam has been awful this year, plain and simple. F*ck the excuses. I hope he comes around, I really do, but he's been awful. I love my Panthers and want them to win, and I hope Newton is our guy. But I'm sorry, he's playing like sh*t.

Race plays a role in EVERYTHING, I couldn't agree more, but don't tell me Newton isn't playing like sh*t and you aren't a least a little concerned about it.

No he hasn't. He's had ups and downs, but he would have a lot more ups if the coaching wasn't so horrible. They are destroying the entire offense and rendering every playmaker on it useless, as well as completely stripping them on their confidence in the process... That and the numerous hate articles coming out concern me 1000 times more than his play.

Matthew Stafford is a great quarterback. The media don't want to look like fools later. Why would they go after him?

One of the many great NFL qbs named Matt. It's the Matt era.

Cam has been terrible Proud. I tend to agree our coaching and playcalling is poor, but Cam doesn't do anything with what he has either. And I'm not sure why you think Newton gets any more hate than crappy white QBs. I mean, you hear about it more here because that's our team. You think Stafford isn't going to hear it in Detroit this week?

I don't see it that way.

His play and stats are relatively the same as last year. I'd expect them to be better if the coaching was worth its salt.

There are tons of white athletes, especially QBs, who have been notorious douchers and/or unsavory characters, and they are not chided and rode like Cam has been for so much less. Big Ben is a prime example. He just threw his OC under the bus, AGAIN on Sunday before they even played... Don't see that leading off Mike and Mike.

Jesus, Proud I don't know what to tell you. I guess Tony Romo's screw ups or Jay Cutler's bad behavior never led off Mike and Mike.

Big Ben has won two Super Bowls!!!

What has Cam done in the NFL to earn that kind of respect? Break a few rookie records that no one even knew existed before he broke them?

That generally involved on-field behavior.

They are using his off-field and postgame quotes to the point that they ignore his on-field performance, good or bad. They're trying to link his off-field behavior, which isn't incomprehensible to begin with, to bad on-field performance, when his on-field performance hasn't been that bad... Definitely not bad enough to justify Vince Young parallels. Yet, they're trying to fate him into that. They've completely flooded every source of media with bad stories about Cam as a person that it has begun to sway people into believing his play is bad as well.

It pisses me off.
