i still stick with my assertion that a healthy chunk of this fanbase is unaware of or perhaps even unwilling to accept the fact that a quarterback can take a different form than the undrafted small school guy that isn't a great athlete but has tons of "grit" and "heart". you see the same stuff out of people who monkey vined from jake to matt moore.

we all remember that one guy who gets his first "real" girlfriend and then spends the next few years chasing girls that are just like her after it ends.

he was cut a bunch of times and then finally landed on a team that gave him a chance and, wouldn't you know it, he flourished and had a few great years with us before he ran out of gas.

that doesn't happen often and way more teams have sucked than otherwise when they've plugged in JAGs at quarterback and crossed their fingers.

jake-the-gritty-leader had a decade more experience at leading a football team. jake wasn't thrown into the fire as a starter. his formative years learning the position were not analyzed because he was not the starter.

I guess it depends on your definition of leadership. Seems to me like Cam is being asked to shoulder much more of the offense in his first two years of professional football experience than Jake ever had to.
