They are now called "First Year Students" in order to implement a gender-inclusive language.

I'm going to urge my future children to attend Wake Forest.

even more annoying than attempts to equalize cultural terms is people who rage incessantly against it

Idiotic.

They should focus more on teaching real classes...unlike Swahili and some of their other AFAM credits.

As long as you have a 160 grand or so. Or they are really good in football or basketball.. Maybe your future kids can play offensive line? :)

Calling it the "offensive line" signifies violence....we gotta change that too

reminds me of the insane poo storm at app state when they took the gender signs off the one-seater crappers.

i actually live in chapel hill and this is the first i'm hearing about this. don't remember any protests or rioting in the streets by the hellbound gay libs who supposedly run this town to get this policy. yet more evidence that most of the wailing about this kind of thing (war on christmas anyone?) is done by people who are in no way directly affected by it.

That's usually the case with most things. Bring up something like vegetarianism or feminism on the internet and prepare for 10 pages of annoyance. And it won't be vegetarians or feminists.

There's nothing sadder in the world than someone who has used the term "PC Police" and wasn't being ironic.

I love the effectiveness euphemisms have on the core issue at hand.

Lot of truth to that...

We few that stayed most weekends were very familiar with the local bars.
