Eric Reid - S - LSU

Now I know it appears to be a homer pick but watch as much of this video as you can

IMO he has great size (6'2 212) and can lay the wood better than anyone in the league. He has solid covering ability and that will improve with growth. Could easily see him being a great safety valve back there for many years.

He is a great tackler, rarely misses them. Has the speed to cover TE's along with size.

Thoughts?

I don't think he is good enough to take with a top 10 pick

He has not impressed me this year. Not sure what it's been, but he hasn't been around the ball.

Yeah that's the thing about Reid. We'll be picking in the top 5 most likely and there's no way we'll touch him that early.

As an LSU fan, you should be screaming for Sam Montgomery to play DE for us.

I would love Montgomery and I hope end up picking him. Just seeing some people's opinion of Reid around here

I personally love Reid and if we are in the top 5 which most of us assume we will be then what's wrong with trading down 10 or so picks to get a safety that is clearly more physically talented than anybody on our roster. Plus with a trade down we could get another 2nd rounder and fill more needs!

don't think any safety (although this class is deep) warrants a top ten pick. would rather take one in the second round

I have seen Reid compared to Mark Barron.. they have the same strengths and weaknesses. Barrons stock skyrocketed after the combine.. so I could see the same for Reid. If we have a lower Top 10 pick, I could see us taking him.. however, the way it's going, we will have a Top 5 pick, and I don't think we take a safety that early.

    • i always thought the unflinching support trump had from a wide swath of conspiracy theorists was one of the low-key weirdest things about this election.  even your "government has been infiltrated by reptoids" venom-type people backed him.

    • Hillary was a typical politician. No more no less. I was not a fan of hers.

False equivelancy to compare her to Trump. He is an awful human being. Completely obvious to anyone with just an average sense of character judgement.
    • Sources Tell Us "Alabama recruited a shiny toy but (Lane) Kiffin never really knew what to do with it. I don't worry about the talent at all. He could be an all-pro. I just need to know if he loves football." -- NFC general manager NFL Comparison Julius Thomas Bottom Line Howard has struggled to live up to hype that has come with his play-making ability while at Alabama, but some scouts put the blame on the staff and scheme. He has elite athletic traits and raw talent, but must add polish to go along with those attributes. Should become substantially more productive as a pro, but the difference between "potential weapon" and "elite tight end" will likely be tied to his desire and overall football character. -Lance Zierlein http://www.nfl.com/draft/2017/profiles/o.j.-howard?id=2557856
