I am not so sure that it is a lame duck team just yet.I am sure JR will not want to buy out 2 years of Rivera's contract but have learned he has been put on notice. For Rivera to survive he must get the offense back to where it was last year and win enough games to show we are progressing versus regressing. I see that as a big order for Rivera to accomplish but do not see it as the same as John Foxes last year.

Question. Is beating a dead duck as bad as beating a dead horse? I feel like it's worse since the duck is so much smaller.
