Not sure about Cowher either, but ask 100 Panthers fans if they would take the record described above and run with it, and 95 would say "hell yes" (I'd be one of them).

1 SB win in 15 years. 2 appearances. I think we want better than that. remember....did not even make the playoffs in year 15 after SB win.

I don't want the Panthers just to be better than the past.....I want them to be very good, sometimes great. I want a team who wins the SB and does not fall off the cliff the next year.

So, like I said....Cowher, based on his record is ok. I am hoping for better.

Not saying I want Cowher, but where are you going to find better than that (1 SB win, 2 SB appearnces)?

You realize there's only 5 coaches out of 32 currently that have won multiple Super Bowls right? One of those last did it 14 years ago.

That is over 15 years. Did not make the playoffs the year after SB win which was in year 14.
Don't think he is a great coach as advertised.

10 mother fuging years going to the playoffs out of 15! What is there not to get? How is that not as great as advertised? Do you miss Fox?

Im on the Cowher wagon but to answer your question, Mike Holmgren. Dude has a billion Super Bowl appearances. Ok, maybe not literally but Homgren does have a TON of playoff and super bowl experience.

Yeah the Steelers made all those playoff appearances under Cowher.
And it must have been tuff to beat out the Browns and Bengals to get there.

I don't think he's coming back into the NFL. Just my personal opinion though.

I've been reading this forum for three to four years now, and it seems at least one Cowher thread pops up EVERY week. Jesus, when will it end?

pretty sure the rumor is that cowher wants to take over for a team that is already in a position to win (ie 14-2 chargers that fired marty schottenheimer).

though maybe jerry richardson can do some convincing. make him think we're like the 2010 49ers - a talented team held back by coaching - instead of, you know, super garbage like the browns.

Khan is intriguing but I'm unsure about Cowher.

Doesn't it concern you guys that his name wasn't even mentioned by JR two years ago?

You gotta think too man maybe Cowher has been out of the game for too long? How many teams do u think have been turned away from Cowher? If he really wanted to coach again deep down I think he would be coaching a team right now.
