Neighbor #1 hears his house being broken into, and runs to Neighbor #2's house for help... They call the police... Cops show up, with a ride along citizen in the car, just as the suspects are exiting the house, and heading towards the getaway car... The ride along citizen jumps out and starts to chase the suspect exiting the house, and running towards the getaway car... Neighbor #2 come out of the house firing at the suspect and the get away car... He fires a reported 7 shots, and hits both suspects... So, right now there are cops all over my neighborhood, was a helicopter earlier, news crews all over... All this about a quarter mile from my house...
Cops are apparently trying to figure out what to charge the homeowners with, if anything, right now...

Unless the suspects were surrendering when the neighbor shot them, I would be surprised if he gets charged with anything serious. It is Texas after all.

Latest update on the news was a Major from the FWPD... He said that the homeowner misinterpreted the situation and thought the officers were in duress, so he came out blazing... And put 2 bad guys in the hospital...
I agree, I think they give him a medal and a gift certificate to Bass Pro Shops...
