-- If history holds, former Panther Julius Peppers will make exactly one big play against Carolina, and otherwise you won't notice him much. Peppers had an interception vs. Carolina in 2010 and a field-goal block in 2011 (both Chicago wins).

Peppers' heel is bothering him too, he sat out a few series Monday night... Im more worried about Tillman & Briggs...

Had a small exchange with a Bears fan I know, he said to me, "Good luck scoring on our D.."
I replied, "Same to you..." Their O is not something to be worried about. Keep Marshall & Forte mostly contained and they are severely limited. I am much more worried about their D scoring on us than their O... But this gaem is absolutely winnable for us, as the last 3 were. Hopefully we dont give the game to them, drop a pass 2yds short or get the same officials and we should be allright...

Forte rushed for a staggering 205 yards in the Bears' 34-29 victory in 2011, second all-time in yardage allowed by Carolina. He also ran for 166 yards in 2010 vs. the Panthers, which gives him two of the top 10 rushing games against Carolina ever.

i'm glad keuchly is on the roster. i have faith in the rookie's ability in keeping this from happening again.

Irony: the only time we get to see consistent effort out of Peppers is when he lining up against us...

Dude is more Carolina Coward. He pulls for and sides with whoever we play because he hates our QB so much. Lol

Wut?

Maybe I should change my user tag then! Don't get mad because I call you out for being a bigot.

Yeah, you mean his one impact play per game?

I'm fine with it.

Also, if you look at their run D this year they really haven't played anyone. If they're still #1 in a month I'll be impressed. Right now they have the benefit of an easy schedule in their corner.

this.

i already posted in another thread about their run defense being suspect.

on top of not facing a very good rb yet this season, they've had to defend the fewest rushing attempts in the league because opponents are forced to abandon the run and play catch up.

for what it's worth, pff has them with a neg run defense grade.

But what is Julius' thought train anyway? "We won latht year tho so we needth retributoin becauthe nobody putth yardageth like that againtht uth, the vaulted Bearth defenth. I knowth we wonth and all, but it was a humiliating victory. Sheesh, if it wathnt for our Thuperman punt returner we might have not have thith victory that we mutht redeem..."

I remember when Peppers went off and single handedly won us that one game against the Kurt Warner led Cardinals. I see that happening to us on Sunday.

Why does he need redemption against a team they beat.
