Well give 'em a radio show... they could do better than Cowherd.

They did audition for a commercial once.

And I confess...They're the ones actually doing the new GM research.

(the head coaching thread from two years ago was them too)

Sometimes I wonder how many folks around here read or watch anything besides the Huddle and ESPN?

Rivera has said they may have tried over think things as regards to the offense. They had success when no one saw them coming. They may have gone overboard trying to stay ahead of the curve.

In all actuality, this is a young staff. Hopefully they will learn and grow. Cuz there is still a lot of talent on this offense. Get it figured out and things can change in a hurry.

Cowherd is going with the ESPN breifing of the week...his job like all of ESPN now is just to be polarizing or to incite... Nothing more..Cowherd will flip flop in a heart beat and be apologetic..LOL that he has seen anything more than the NFL network game...or past the first Q.

When Carolina starts running a traditional offense with Newton under center, everyone will realize with clear certanity what a limited player Cam Newton is. He is a mediocre quarterback who can run. That's it. That being said, there is a lot of talent on the offensive side of the ball. Use it. Take the ball out of Newton's hands. Your defense is improving. You can win with Newton, but not because of Newton.

Yes. Many times. At Carolina as well as Auburn. He is a below average NFL quarterback in the pocket. He has no real feel for the passing game...his anticipation of when receivers will be open is dreadful. The Panthers are running the read option offense in order to hide Newton's liabilities. Put him in, say, the current Denver offense, and you will see how limited he is.

A Power running game with one of the worst offensive lines in the league is akin to running a vertical offense with a qb who can't throw the ball 15 yards down the field

Newton may be the best, he may be the worst, he may be average.

The Panthers will only know if they allow him to play like a real QB.

It is true he badly missed that slant to Louis Murphy....replays show Murphy was open in the endzone if Newton had just anticipated and threw the ball. He did not. He delayed. The ball was intercepted.

That said, let us also not forget that on 3rd and 15 and 3rd and 18 under heavy rush and a tight coverage, Newton put the ball right in Murphy's hands in stride.

To make a judgement on Newton now is ridiculous. There is simply not enough facts.

Sick of people feeling that have to constantly deride the guy.

He will be something or he wont. The timeline on that is more in JR's hands than any other. A man who would part with his sons and his best friend in order to win is not someone who is going to keep a 23 year old he doesn't beileve in on this team.
