On this date in football – October 26, 1993 – NFL owners unanimously selected Carolina as the 29th NFL franchise and the first expansion team since 1976.

So we were born 19 years ago? We are clearly now the teen who didn't finish school, still living at home, failing at life and trying to keep the job at Auto Bell. Underachieving.

As my screen name reflects. I remember that night well. The big surpise of that night was St. Louis. Thought to be a shoo-in. Mascot was to be the current Bronco Logo, to be called The Stallions, colors-purple, black, and gold. Of course most of you were in your mother's womb. BTW we are truly LUCKY to have our Panthers. And yes these are dark days. But someday when the winning/championships come, it will make all the sweeter!
