We should somehow merge the other thread from the Cats forum.

But I think OKC got a great deal. It looks as though OKC wasn't going to re-sign him next offseason so they got what they could. Plus they got 2 first rounders next year.

I wouldn't have traded him this soon. Could have done better.

I like the trade for OKC. The kicker is the 2 first round picks.

FYI - Details on the picks acquired in the trade by OKC

2013 first round draft pick from Dallas

Dallas' own 2013 first round draft pick to Houston via the L.A. Lakers ( top 20 protected in 2013, top 20 protected in 2014, top 20 protected in 2015, top 20 protected in 2016, top 20 protected in 2017 and unprotected in the 2018 Draft). [Dallas - L.A. Lakers, 12/11/2011 and then Houston-L.A. Lakers 3/15/2012]

2013 first round draft pick from Toronto

Toronto's own 2013 1st round pick to Houston (Top-3 Protected and 15-30 Protected in the 2013 Draft, top-2 protected and 15-30 protected in 2014, top-2 protected and 15-30 protected in 2015, top-1 Protected and 15-30 protected in 2016, top-1 protected and 15-30 Protected in 2017 and unprotected in the 2018 Draft. [Houston-Toronto, 7/11/2012]

So more than likely a late pick from Dallas sometime in the future, and a #4-#14 pick from Toronto more than likely next year.

4 Years 60 mil... Not too much from the 4 years 54 mil OKC offered him today.

If that is the case, does that mean he wanted out of OKC? Something to think about.

OKC straight cleaned up with this deal. I'm so glad we weren't the team that gave up too much for Harden.

He wanted a Max deal and nothing less... OKC did not want to give him max because it would effect their upcoming luxury tax penalty under the new cba... they also felt that all the other players on the team made some sacrifice so he should to.
