He threw for 317 yards, had a pick because Steve slipped...but then proceeded to lead us down the field to take the lead on the road against probably the best D in the league.

Piling on Cam at this point is ridiculous. Has he been great this year? No. But he's certainly not the reason we are losing. We gave up a 2 minute drill to Cutler and Marshall when we basically backed off and let them take what they wanted. Just like we did in the Falcons game. This is a coaching (philosophy) problem...not a Cam Newton prolem.

So if that 6 points led to our demise how do you characterize the 22 points and numerous drives we did have? Or the decision not to kick a 50 yard field goal before halftime? Or how would you characterize the drive that gave us the lead with less than 3:00 to play? Or the 16 points the defense gave up??

Did any of those things have anything to do with our demise?? Or just that pick 6?


For perspective, in Seattle and Chicago, when they give up 16 points they are wondering what went wrong, when we give up 16 points we brag about our defense.
