Luck has 1674 yard passing in 7 games, for an average of about 239 yards. Now if you multiply that 239 by 16 games, he is projected to finish with 3826 yards. Short of Cam's rookie season.

RG3 has 1601 yard passing in 8 games, for an average of about 200 yards. Now if you multiply that 200 by 16 games, he is projected to finish with 3200 yards. Well short of Cam's rookie season.

Tannehill who got injured today and only got 18 yards passing, has 1454 yards in 7 games for an average of about 207 yards. Now if you multiply that 207 by 16 games, he is projected to finish with 3323 yards. Well short of Cam's rookie season.

R.Wilson has 1230 yards in 8 games for an average of about 153 yards. Now if you multiply that 153 by 16 games, he is projected to finish with 2448 yards. Unbelievably short of Cam's rookie season.

B. Weeden has 1783 yards in 8 games for an average of about 223 yards. Now if you multiply that 223 by 16 games, he is projected to finish with 3568 yards. Well short of Cam's rookie season.

So in other words....FUGG OFF

This post is full of win. Suck it TonyaN.

RG3 will break his yardage record, but not TDs.

I guess RG3 and Vick are speedier threats to get yardage, but Cam can power in for the TDs.

I doubt his TD record gets touched, not until they expand the games to 18 or so.

31st ranked passer Luck? I thought QB rating was important?

Check out Total QBR rating. It is the real measure of quarterback play. Luck is currently number 6 in the NFL while Cam Newton is 26th.

Feel stupid or what...

FYI they don't update the stat totals until the next day or after all the games are played, I don't remember which. Either way Luck is projected at about 4400 yards and Weeden at 3800. The others need some big games to make up ground. Add Lucks total from today to the total your using (which is only from 6 games and not 7) and you'll get actual accurate numbers. If you don't believe me just open up a game log for one of the QBs and add up the totals yourself.

Not at all. Look at the NFL stats for yourself.

I've never put much stock into QBR.

For example, Cams 3rd down conversions on run plays or his TD runs don't factor into that...

It also doesn't take into account fumbles, sacks taken, etc.

I just think people like making up stats just to have something to talk about, it is a relatively new thing they cam up with just to come up with it. Has no value IMO, you can clearly see yards, TDs, ints, and comp%. Ya know...the stats that matter.

Next they'll come up with a RBR(running back rating)

Tackles broken + yards after contact * log(TDs) / rushing attempts = WHO GIVES A fug
