The new GM and new coach in 2013 need to sit Cam behind a vet QB

If you're going to sit here and try and convince me that one clutch throw means Cam Newton plays great in crunch time, you're burying your head in the sand. Not one player in this league would say that Cam Newton is a clutch player. Not ONE. And CERTAINLY not in 2012.

lol i don't think anybody is actually saying that. i don't believe that cam newton is "great in crunch time" but i saw an assertion from you that i (and several others) immediately knew was not correct and responded to it.

in vintage sam mills fan fashion though your next move was to say that it actually didn't matter and we're all stupid anyway.

I thought stats don't matter and wins do...Cam left field with a 22-20 lead...is that not winning.

one thing i've learned about people who make these kind of arguments is that stats don't matter until they do.

Another example would be the pass to Murphy in the closing seconds at Seattle, in which Murphy couldn't get the final foot to score the TD. This was just before the dirt ball to Hartsock.

murphy is seriously about the least clutch wide receiver i've ever seen. really it's almost a foregone conclusion that if it's third and long and a ball hits him in the numbers it's going to hit the ground.

Murphy dropped 2 first downs last week;

Seriously? A touchdown with about 10 minutes left in the game against rookie Blaine Gabbert is what you have? Don't remember the Texans throw so can't comment.

Since you've suddenly gotten amnesia.

16 yard pass to Steve to seal the deal.

"You guyz can't name ONE clutch throw by Cam."

*names three throws*

Teh Vikings doesn't teh count cause lost.

*names jaguars throw and two point conversion*

Teh really? We's were playing Blaine Gabbert(which has nothing to do about Cam making a clutch throw) so that doesn't count!

Face it, you're idiot SMF. Don't worry, you blend in well.

I want a single one of you people to defend what you see in that last post. I got all of these from the play by play sections of NFL.com's Gamecenters for the Panthers this season if you want to check for yourselves.

Now take the time to consider where play calling fits into the failure. You know honestly I don't know if Cam has a mental block, it just seems like he has mental fans trying to stack the teams failures on his shoulders.
