I just did research bitches. This might get its own thread tomorrow, don't know.

PANTHERS OFFENSIVE WOES LATE IN GAMES THIS SEASON

vs. Tampa Bay
7:58 left: 3 and out
5:06: Had a 1st goal inside the 7 and had a run, incomplete pass, run, settled for a field goal

vs. New Orleans
7:09 3 and out
1:55 3 and out (gave Saints to pull a W out of their asses)

vs. Giants
9:40 Interception (Cam's only full series in the 4th)

vs. Atlanta
4:57 3 and out
2:26 punt after the Cam fumble

vs. Seattle
10:57 Cam with his terrible miss to Hartsock in the end zone
:59 Sack/fumble

vs. Dallas
8:54 3 and out
3:25 4 and out
:53 Sack/fumble

vs. Chicago
12:09 3 and out
6:52 Pick 6
6:44 FIELD GOAL! (after Cam went 1/4 for 7 yards on the drive)

Holy crap, this is even worse than I thought. Embarrassingly awful.

In three of those games Cam walked off the field with the lead. Funny, I thought the Panthers paid a defensive unit too.

This is what he does. You'll notice he doesn't mention Newton running for 16 to pick up a first down on that final drive, or the fact that we attempted 7 runs to 4 passes to try and grind out some clock. He also doesn't have any context (such as Smith not making the TD grab). No, 1/4 OMG WOW.

The root cause of the late game woes is the fact that Cam Newton is one of the worst quarterbacks in the NFL in obvious passing situations. The numbers are available on espn under Cam Newton "splits".

Never questioned Cam's running ability. Just his accuracy when he needs to be accurate most. The numbers don't lie: He's a choker.

I repeat, the play just prior to the dirtball to Hartsock was a completed pass to Murphy down to the 1 foot line. Had Murphy been able to power that extra foot, then it goes from a "Cam isn't clutch" moment, to "Cam pulls it out at the end".

I expect we can find other plays just like this sprinkled at the end of the other games.

I get what you're saying Marguide, but he followed that up with his worst pass as a pro in a clutch situation so I'm not giving him any excuses.

We need to get a veteran QB to challenge him next year...I agree with that

Yes. I have noticed he is a bias moron.

Have you mentioned Smith's slip leading to a INT and TD? Or about the punter kicking the ball 6 yards? or the offense two times needing a yard in the 4th and failing to get a yard?

We already know you do not blame the defense for surrendering game winning field goals.

Sam Mills Fan, it's obvious you've already made up your mind in spite of being presented evidence to the contrary, so there's not much point in you continuing to "discuss" it, is there?

You really think that sitting him will make him mentally stronger? Wow..Cam did good today both the picks should have been prevented by the intended receiver. Coaching is clearly the problem. we can't finish games

Whoever takes Cam under his wing needs to focus on Cams short/redzone accuracy.

Lets bench Cam

Not get him a top WR prospect

did you see some of those passes he threw today? Jerry Rice couldnt have come within 10 feet of them.
