Is it that much worse than 2008-2010?

Yea man...holy poo...For a team that supposedly builds through the draft we only get like 1 good player per draft.

Honestly I wouldn't put Norman or Alexander as solid just yet but they do have potential.

Alexanders motor alone should make him a great player down the road. Hopefully he and Hardy push each other to greatness(via competition).

Norman needs more work but I like what he could be, he tackles well and certainly looks the part.

Where they were pick and being rookie and at time where they're giving opportunity to play, Id say its close to being more solid than "average".

Though at least it look better than Harbaugh's first two pick this year: AJ Jenkins and Lamichael James. RIght??? Give Rivera benefit of the doubt.

I don't consider anything but how well you play. Draft position doesn't matter, if you can ball you can ball.
But I feel you, they don't suck by any means.

Well in that case, both of them call ball.

Its about damn time! Other franchises seem to have a completely different outlook on their players. If you can't produce in the forseeable future, they cut their losses and move on...

If Gettis is not 100% AND productive by the end of the year, he should be released too. Some ppl act like its big news that his return will assure us a winning season. Im not hating on the guy, just being realistic... Gettis is not a Brandon Marshall or Hakeem Nicks, he's more of a Michael Crabtree type of contributor.

Marty would NEVER EVER admit he was wrong in the short term, even at the expense of the fans and franchise. Friends or not, I still dont understand how Richardson could allow this Marty's shortcomings to be accepted for so many years. Maybe im just an a$$hole but miss the playoffs 3 straight years and dat ass is fired!

As an owner, my loyalty is to the fans because they are who make it all possible! We deserve compentency in front office, not only to ensure we get value for our dollars spent but ALSO for our emotional investment as dedicated fans.

I'm looking at the other picks that could have been made, there aren't any other guys that were worth taking after Hogan in the 4th round. Maybe Owen Maceric, Cecil shorts, Edmond Gates, Quinton carter. Maybe one of those guys.

Ouch, some of you guys are pretty ruthless. No one knows exactly the extent of his injury. Could be like Ryne Robinson, where his recovery just didn't come along, and he wasn't able to come back post injury. This was a boom or bust draft pick and unfortunately it didn't work out. Don't kick a man when he is down.

As already stated: This was a blind home run swing and it missed. In the 4th that is acceptable.

I think they cut him to make sure that new GM does not start to dream of a healthy Gamble/Hogan tandem and ignore corners in the next draft even if an elite one is avialable.
