Ryan Leaf? Naa, more like Jeff George. Great skills but an immature jerk who was all about himself.

I used to huff glue too, you gotta get off that sh!t man its no bueno.

it's a great comparison if you ignore the fact that ryan leaf didn't care at all about winning, had no work ethic, and had meltdowns in front of the media that make cam's worst moments look like he invited everybody back to his condo for pizza and beer.

No point in going in a different direction with the QB position.... not for another few years at the least. The best football is yet to be played by Newton.

Cam doesn't really remind me of anyone. His career sort of resembles others from the past, but he has a unique personality.

Brilliant comparison !!! I had forgotten about Prince Jeff.

Newton is certainly way more talented than Leaf and probably doesn't posses the same amount of baggage, but the maturity and leadership comparison I think is valid. And they are both surly, albeit in different ways....

Cam is the biggest leader in the Panthers locker room right now.

he's not having the effect he could or should have, tho.

that's his biggest problem, imo.

I'm starting to think TonyN and Super_Freak are the same guy. And if they're not, then they're at least eating paint chips off of the same window sill.

Its hard to motivate guys over 30 who've been on losing teams most of their careers and are feasting off Marty Hurney's contracts.
