It's only an upgrade in the sense of instead of having a nail in our ass, it'll be a tack.

# of Super Bowl Rings
Andy Reid- 0
Ron Rivera- 1

Now STFU

Ron Rivera is a poo poo coach though

How is that even relevant?? Ron Rivera was DC not a HC, two totally different jobs there.

Reid is overrated. Still living off McNabb, hasnt won a playoff game since him. Phillys O line is terrible, Vick gets hit IN THe POCKET more than any QB, and Reid wont utilize their best offensive weapon in MCCoy. He would only ruin Cam, no thanks. We need a HC who isnt afraid to run the ball.

These are good points as well in an argument against hiring Reid.

Like I said, I'm not politicking for Reid here but I do honestly think that if it looks like both teams are going to make a change (and it looks that way right now!) ESPN and the media trolls are going to be all over this calling it a "perfect fit" for a team that needs a HC, GM, and Cam babysitter.

Ron got one as a player. He never won a ring as a coordinator.

The Eagles have had a solid organization, good ownership, strong scouting, shrewd free agent strategy, great cap management, etc. etc. and even with all of that behind him, Reid still hasn't been able to bring home a Super Bowl trophy.

What makes people think he can do it with the Panthers organization?

wat

Reid got a ring when he was the OC with Green Bay in the 90s

Rivera got one from being a bench warmer and coddling dikta's and singletary's balls in 85

Yeah another solid argument against Reid. If anything, Reid has proven he CANT win a super bowl when everything else around him is in good shape.

Dont want Reid. IMO he never really developed McNabb and he does not seem to be helping Vick all that much either. If we are going offensive minded coach I would say Chip Kelly would fit the bill.

I don't understand the love affair with Chip Kelly, either. IMHO, they've got to get a guy that's an NFL coach now.

Reid has basically already taken the San Diego job.

It wouldn't take much to upgrade this mess, however I have little to no interest in Reid.

No love affair, but I would rather have a offensive Guru and a winner over a guy that rode the coattail of a Philly defense for so many years.

It would be interesting to see what Reid would do with McDermott if he decided to come here.

He'd do the same thing he did in Philly...fire him.

To the point though, no, I don't want Reid. He seems burned out to me, and needs to take a season or two off.

I wouldn't want him as a Head coach here either, but to say he is similar to Ron is ridiculous.
