The key to beating the Redskins - Greg Olsen

25 posts in this topic

Olsen's not been targeted as much lately as he was the first few games of the season.

I was going to start a thread about this. Not just against the Redskins, but in general.

More running, more TE passes (short/intermediate passes) Just to keep things moving. I mean, it wasn't as prominent last weekend, but most this season the passes are long developing down field passes all the time. We need more move'n the chains" style passes. And I think that's where our TE's can help out more.

Here's hope'n.

Olsen needs to get the ball more. I think the only positive thing that could come out of losing steve smith is that the offense would involve Olsen and the other TEs more

We are not gonna lose Steve, obviously you haven't seen the recent threads.

mcderp also needs to emphasize jamming their receivers at the line. their passing offense is almost entirely based on timing routes-three step drop and release to an area of the field. griffin's not dropping back and picking apart defenses like brady yet regardless of what ESPN says so there's definitely something there that can be exploited and attacked.

if the corners are playing off though they're just going to chew us up unless we generate an insane pass rush that gets in griffin's face and gets hands up fast. the front four had a great game last week but i wouldn't count on it again.

Kinda makes me wish we'd have paid shockey the extra million or whatever he wanted. You could say he's washed up or whatever but this offense clicked with him. Didn't we used to run two TE sets? What happened to that? Oh yea, Barnidge happened.

lol i feel as if olsen is always forgotten in the games he plays in. if chud does utlize two tight ends, and they are consistent; i would say we would win this easy, with a good D/
