Did the house thing about 20 yrs ago when I built.
Curious, what is the difference in house payments on a 30 year and a 15 year in your case?
Just purchased my first home

IIRC for what he said he is spending...it would be about 500 per month.

Congrats on the new house Arsen! Sounds like you got a hell of a deal. I'm jealous tbh... Being in the military kind of sucks for this reason. My wife and I want to buy a house badly, but we just can't in good faith. We move around too much. I will sadly probably have to wait to buy or build until I get closer to retirement. Don't want to buy now and have renters tearing up my house for the next 9 years. It sucks too, cause now is the time to buy... Military life has its advantages and disadvantages... When I retire at least my check will more than cover my mortgage though.
Again congrats man!
