No, she didn't get to participate in any contests. I am going to send her photo to The Pilot (our newspaper), they always have a special section for kids in costumes, as well as an online gallery.

We live in Whispering Pines, but I could literally throw a stone from my backyard and it would land in Pinehurst.

Great....now when I have kids, and they want an awesome Halloween costume, I have to find a way to boss one up. Otherwise, I'll remember this and feel like a failure.

Now if i can get Dan to play some games that have badass women so she'll want to dress up as a girl next year. I told her everyone was going to think she was a boy and she said she understood but still wanted to be Ezio. I felt bad because after trick or treating she said everyone thought she was a boy, I reminded her about what we talked about, she said she knew. She said she still felt awesome in her costume.
