That really bothers me too.

I think if people want to vote straight ticket they should make them do it the hard way, one bubble at a time.

At the end of the day it just really reflects the strangle hold the 2 party duopoly has on our entire system.

I 100% agree with you.

However, most people barely know what their party believes. Expecting them to understand what each candidate stands for probably requires more time and thought than they have put into the process.

Which is quite sad.

I would love a state law banning the use of straight ticket voting. I'd even be for removing party designation names/letters (R, D) from their name too.
