I think it is important to understand in looking for our new HC

I think it come down to a few reasons

.First he is a DC that has brought in an OC that has only had one year of success as a OC. Chud was only batting 500 as an OC which is not good if you the head coach do not know how to run an offense.

Appears unable to make adjustments in the game.I watch him on the sideline and he is not speaking to anyone. How can you make adjustments with players and coaches when you cannot communicate.

Seems to have a lack of confidence in his players. You are a NFL kicker so you should be expected to make a 51 yard fg.

Lack of connection/confidence with the players. We have seen players on defense and offense say they were not the ones calling in the plays.Where is the discussion with Cam on the sidelines?
I never see coaches showing him film while he is on the sideline.

He reminds me of Dom Capers when he was coach on the sidelines.
I honestly do not feel he can correct his problems unless Chud come to his senses.

His unwillingness to make adjustments even when it's killing us really rustles my jimmies.

I think the Defense has improved a great deal even with injuries.

The entire problem this year is the offense is the opposite from last year in terms of productivity. Chud just has not got it done and appears to have "out-thunk" himself by scrapping what we did last season and putting too many new wrinkles in that have not panned out.

Is that Rivera's fault? Yes, he signed off on it. What is more troubling though is they doubled down on it when they saw it didn't work and now we are 1-6, too late.

To be fair, I think his reasoning for not kicking the field goal - swirling Chicago winds - is a valid one, at least on the surface. I don't think I agree, but I can see where he would make that call.

I wonder if it his inability, not willingness on offense.Clearly it is willingness on Defense.

You can improve on willingness but you are stuck with your ability.

inexperience and his being overwhelmed being led to overcompensating and overthinking things.

also there is a massive lack of experience in not only his coaching staff but in his team of players.

he has an immature lockerroom that does him no favors and doesn't have what it takes to get their heads out of their butts because he has enough issues himself to deal with.

the job is just too big for him right now.

not sure it will ever not be too big for him.

I understand why you would believe that the odds were against making the kick, but you have to try. It's still an infinitely higher probability for success than a 50 yard hail mary. If Medlock misses that kick from 51 with those winds, no ones holding it against him.

We have had a flawed offensive scheme in most games and when flawed we are unable to adjust.
Moving forward this season can he adjust or is this as good as it gets? Even when we are clicking he seems to blow it as he did in Bears game and that was our defense.

*3 years of pathetic drafing = Young players not good enough
*Half the national dept spent on the back field = no good FA veterans
*Not adjusting during the game = this is on Rivera

We have been prepared in every game but the Giants one even woth undertalented player. So someone in the coaching stauff is doing things right. Changing coaches is not going to quick fix this team.

Dude, Jaws said it best. It's a gimmick college offense. That doesn't work in the NFL. You see how good we looked vs the Bears offense wise? If he just called a couple play actions on first down the score could've possibly been different. It's crazy what happens when you mix poo up.

Yeah, like I said, I can see why he did it, but I'm with you that you gotta try.

I agree the talent pool is not where it should be but can we give our offensive performance a pass based on talent alone?
