Is Brad Nortman this year's version of Olindo Mare?

Recommended Posts

I know Nortman doesnt kick FGs but the fact both shanked kicks at the worst times during the game. With Mare it was missed chip shots and with Nortman its the laughable yet sad shanked punts. Its time for Nortman to go.

Meh, he's had two bad kicks. But he's had some very very good ones as well. He's a rook, and he's done pretty well.

Sure the shanked punts have hurt but I think his overall body of work is worthy of keeping him around. He's a rookie with plenty of time to get things together and continue to get better. Rookies get passes for poor play quite often and Nortman should be no exception.

I still believe he is our punter for the present and future.

The guy is a rookie. Before the Chicago game I thought he had been performing pretty well.

Well you can make the argument he was the deciding factor last week aganst the Bears when we gave them excellent field position because of another shanked punt. Lets also not forget he was horrible in the Seahawks game as well.

Knee jerk reaction.

He's kicked a lot more good ones than bad ones. Give him some more time I'm sure he'll improve. He can already kick it better than Baker could.
