I was at the bar and could not hear what was going on, but I was really surprised that they called the penalty.

Steelers getting hosed right now by the stripes.
I am still dumbfounded after witnessing that. Replacement refs never left, I swear.

Yea, refs were just atrocious today. Looked as bad or worse than the replacement refs. Deangelo's TD run should get some scrutiny too. Doubt it would have changed the outcome of the play, but that idiot ref shouldn't have blown the whistle.
That was a blatant attempted hose-job. I saw it in real time speed that his feet was not even close to being out of bounds. The ref was right next to him looking at his damn feet and blows the whistle...unbelievable...

i heard somewhere that we made substitutions and that the D is also allowed to do so when the O does so the refs allowed that to happen....does anyone know if there is any truth to that?
That is exactly what they were doing. But they are suppose to stop the clock while they are holding up the center.

There's a reason they have to blow the whistle to start the clock after moving away from the ball on plays like that. Maybe they were trying to 'make up' for the Williams TD, even though that was a premature whistle blown by the ref.
It was like they hired a bunch of ACC refs for the game or something, pathetic.
