Right now, with our Salary cap space, we couldn't even afford Hardees.

I have a feeling that Hardy is going to turn out to be special. Yes, he's been inconsistent. BUT its his third year and the light seems to have come on. That said,one year SHOULD'NT get you a fat pay day. If he finishes strong this year and has another big season before his contract is up, then you pay him. Never can have enough quality pass rushers. Also hope Alexander brings it...and he may be the reason Hardy has stepped up.

Great problem to have!

If he keeps his play up he'll get paid, but almost definitely not here. Too many holes to fill.

Afford to what? Treat him to Burger King? This guy's productivity goes thru more ups and downs than my stock portfolio. He would have to mature into a consistently outstanding player for us to even consider signing him to a long term deal. 76 is very immature and has a lot of growing to do as a person off the field as well.
