Actually the book on how to beat Peyton is not to line up in your defensive look until just before the ball is snapped. Teams that have had success mill around and don't show the coverage until the ball is being snapped. You have to fool Peyton and give him multiple looks. Do that, control the clock and keep him off the field. That is how you beat Manning.

Rivera knew how to handle Peyton arguably better than anyone back when he was with the Chargers.

Will he be able to pull off the same thing with the personnel on the Panthers? Guess that's the question of the week.

Look at what Atl did to him earlier this year.

None of the D line with their hands on the ground. People in no discernible alignment or position.

If we can pull it off it will beat Peyton.

Stop the run early until Foxy lets Peyton loose, then blitz the poo out of him.

The Panthers at least organizationally know John Fox; John Fox no longer knows this Panthers. Rivera is also known to have good schemes to go up against Manning. Gantt however thinks Fox can field a team that can hang 50 on us just for spite. This isn't no John Gruden Bowl in my mind though..

1. Keep Manning off the field with long TD drives
2. He's immobile and relies heavily on his footwork, move him off of his spot. Watch him get happy feet
3. Disguise coverages, if you show your hand before the snap he'll exploit it
4. Be physical- disrupt the timing routes and limit YAC

Force them to be one dimensional

Won't have to worry about him scrambling like RG3. Our run defense has stepped up....make them a pass only team. Drop 7 into coverage. Hope CJ and Hardy can continue to make plays.

Could be tougher though with Clady

Cam needs to play mistake free as well....basically
